Talking to kids about safety is tough. But, as they mature and become increasingly independent, you require them to pay attention to themselves while living rich, full lives. In these classes, they will learn to recognize “red flags,” plan safe exits from iffy situations, try out physical moves (just in case), and learn to find supportive self-care. All in age-appropriate language and concepts.
S.T.R.E.E.T. Defense offers a diversity of classes, and we keep all of our classes small in size to ensure that everyone has the best learning experience possible. Our intro classes are a short and affordable option to begin your self-defense training. Depending on the course, attendees learn how to use verbal boundary-setting and De-escalation techniques, how to prevail away from being an “easy target,” and how to assess when a physical response to aggression is necessary.
That right! We teach teens BUT did you know that the parent MUST attend also? That way as the child gets older the parents can still train them.
